Description
30 Kreuzers coin of Charles Albert, Elector of Bavaria. The obverse features a draped bust facing right with the legend CAR • ALB • H • I • B • C • & •. The reverse depicts a rampant lion to the left, holding a sword and a crowned oval shield with the fourfold arms of Bavaria and Pfalz, central shield showing an imperial orb. Two chains of orders surround the shield, with the value (30) in a cartouche dividing the small date below. Legend reads LAND MINZ • &. A historically significant Bavarian issue reflecting the heraldry and political status of Charles Albert.
